Our renewal process is designed to clean, polish, and fill in surface scratches. While it dramatically improves the look of the floor, it does not sand down the wood, so deep gouges that penetrate through the finish into the raw wood will likely still be visible (though often less noticeable).
We ask that you move small items like lamps, chairs, and plants. For larger furniture like heavy sofas or china cabinets, we can often work around them since we aren't sanding the floor down. We can discuss specific furniture logistics during your free estimate.
No. Unlike traditional polyurethane finishes which can smell for days, our coatings are low-VOC and have a very mild scent that dissipates quickly. It is safe for you and your pets to be in the home.
Because we use a UV-cured or fast-drying polish, you can typically walk on your floors in socks within 1–2 hours after we finish. We recommend waiting 24 hours before moving heavy furniture back or allowing pets to run on it.
