Batavia, ILWhy Batavia Pet Owners Call Us First
Batavia is one of the Fox Valley's three Tri-Cities (with Geneva and St. Charles), and like its siblings it's a town of two halves: a historic downtown core along the Fox River and newer subdivisions on the east and west edges. The pet odor problems we treat in Batavia look very different depending on which side of town you're calling from.
In the Historic District near the riverwalk, the homes are 1800s and early-1900s Victorians and Italianates. Original hardwood downstairs, smaller carpeted bedrooms upstairs, lath-and-plaster walls, and often a fieldstone basement that floods in heavy spring rains. The Fox River-adjacent houses face a unique problem: when a basement gets damp, any pet urine that's already in the carpet pad reactivates and the entire lower level smells. Most homeowners have lived with this for years before they call us.
Out in Tanglewood Hills, Clover Hills, Woodland Hills, and the newer southwest Batavia subdivisions, the homes are 1980s-2000s split-levels and Colonials. Synthetic carpet over plywood subfloor, finished basements, and the typical pet-urine pattern — a senior dog or repeat-offender cat that's been having accidents in the same spot for months or years before anyone gets serious about fixing it.
Either pattern, our process is the same: UV blacklight inspection, severity assessment, deep treatment of the affected layer, dwell time, sub-surface extraction, and a 100% odor removal guarantee. We're about 32 minutes south of Batavia via IL-25 from our Algonquin headquarters and we cover the Tri-Cities corridor regularly.
